Innovative IT Firm Celebrates Successful Year With New Home

An IT solutions provider is celebrating a successful year in business after moving into new offices at Lingfield Point in Darlington. High Tide, an independent IT solutions provider, has had a very successful 12 months, winning eight new clients in the past six months. The firm works with some well-known international companies, including a multinational chemical company and a car manufacturer, as well as providing IT and communications support for small and medium sized businesses across the north east. The company attributes its success to its attitude to business by providing excellent communications and innovative solutions, using its knowledge of the industry and being approachable and not geeky! By using a more integrated approach, High Tide offers a variety of disciplines within the company not usually associated with an IT firm. It brings together years of experience in digital technology and communications, strategic planning and marketing which means the company can offer a complete solution to businesses across the region and further afield. Andrew Ingram, Director of High Tide said: “We are a dynamic and forward thinking technology business and Lingfield Point suited our business model of being creative, innovative and approachable. It is a friendly atmosphere here and the team at Lingfield Point and other businesses have been very welcoming. It is also a growing business park, with good transport links and access to the north and south, and we have already had some success in winning contracts from businesses on site.” Andrew brings over 15 years of IT industry expertise to the firm, working with companies such as Huntsman, ICI, Hyundai and Suzuki, and is supported by experienced business manager, Ruth Quinn. More recently, the firm expanded its service portfolio and demonstrated its investment in the future by bringing on board Simon Clayton as a sales and marketing specialist to provide support services to clients as well as helping to develop the business. High Tide has worked on some complex IT projects for its clients. Most recently, acting as the lead architectural base for a large corporate acquisition with a multinational chemical company. It also won a contract to design and install a full networking infrastructure for a Newcastle Quayside-based retailer – in under a week, working through the night! Andrew added: “2015 will be very exciting for us, as we have lots of projects in the pipeline, working with Middlesbrough College and Hartlepool Marina on their digital services, as well as continuing our technical support with an international chemical client. We are passionate about delivering IT solutions that offer total flexibility, security, collaboration, and ultimately enhances business growth and transformation for our customers.” High Tide plans to introduce a series of free workshops to local businesses in 2015, providing simple and easy to understand training, demystifying technology such as the ‘Cloud’ and demonstrating more efficient ways of working.
